Register of the Dead

A record of coins that died on pump.fun, kept by a token that becomes them one at a time. Entries are made by burning. Not by us. Nothing is ever struck off.

The register

In the order pump.fun made them. Nobody picks, nobody jumps the queue, and it does not repeat until every one of them has stood.

How an entry is made

  1. i

    A holder burns

Part of the supply is destroyed. There is no fee and no application. The only thing signed is the burn itself.

  2. ii

    From anywhere at all

Phantom, a script, somebody else's site. The mint's total supply is the only thing read, so where the burn happened cannot be known and is not asked.

  3. iii

    The count crosses

Every 100,000 destroyed makes one entry. A larger burn makes several at once rather than stepping through them.

  4. iv

    The record is amended

The token's name, ticker and face are rewritten on-chain to the next coin in the register. Nobody votes. Nobody picks. Then it stands until the next burn.

The chain is amended within a couple of minutes of a burn. Wallets and terminals (Phantom, Axiom, GMGN, Dexscreener) cache token metadata and will keep showing the previous entry for a while. That lag is theirs, not ours.

Make an entry

This form is a convenience. It builds an ordinary SPL burn and nothing else, and the register does not care whether you used it.

calculated from the current burn total

You are destroying your own tokens. Nothing gives them back.

Burning elsewhere is counted the same

Nothing about this token routes through this website. A watcher reads the mint's total supply every minute. It sees the number go down; it has no idea which app you used, and there is nothing here to sign up for.

Any tool that can burn an SPL token works.

spl-token burn $(spl-token accounts --owner YOUR_WALLET \

Every burn of this token counts identically, wherever it was made.

Ranked by supply destroyed. Counted off the chain, not off this page.
